       It's about yesterday, I was on duty; we were drilling down to the Earth's crust for our pay zone as predicted by the  geologists. The formation we were drilling were very hard, so it took about 2 hours to penetrate 9.60 meters. Then suddenly 'A Man" called me and asked me why the progress was too slow? Okay, I told him about the formation below for which the whole mast with the derrick floor was vibrating like anything and blah blah blah!!!! Then he directed to increase the RPM of the rotary table and to decrease the weight on bit, we apply for drilling; the driller in charge changed the parameters immediately and you know what happened? The giant rotary chain broke and it increased again the unproductive time of ONGC ,Assam Asset! The mechanical crew repaired the same, and the man I am telling about handed over the whole thing to us, to the drilling crews, and we decided the parameters and there was a successful drilling after that except some problems like leakage of mud through various joints etc.

      After that, at about 18.00 hrs, when we handed over the shift to the other team of our rig; maximum of our staff members told me , advised me, not to listen to those men, who use to direct from AC room without having any idea of the harsh practical situation! I got a mixed feeling guys, I have to always obey the orders given from the men sitting in AC rooms, but I have to maintain a good relationship with my staff also. So, I decided to optimize the relationship and orders so as to maintain a balance!
